Setting up Two-factor Authentication (2FA)

Setting up Two-factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a specific type of multi-factor authentication (MFA) that strengthens access security by requiring two methods to verify your identity. These factors include something you know — a username and password — plus something you have — like a smartphone app — to approve authentication requests.

Setting up Two-factor Authentication

To set up two-factor authentication, do the following:

  1. Log into the platform.

  2. Click the profile icon from the top-right corner.

  3. Select Your Profile.

  4. Select Two-factor Authentication Settings.

  5. Activate two-factor authentication (2FA):

You can set up 2FA by either:

  1. Installing Google Authenticator, Authy or Duo – the app you install will generate a six-digit code that regenerates every 30 seconds. Once set up, you will need to enter this code when logging in to the system.

  2. Activating 2FA via SMS – Every time you try to log in, you will receive an SMS with a code that you will need to enter.
