Setting up Your Wallet

Setting up Your Wallet

What is a wallet?

A wallet represents a segregated bank account that is used by a fund manager to finance its investment strategies. If a you as a fund manager is yet to integrate a real segregated bank account then your wallet is no more than a virtual account with virtual/simulated capital.

You get your own set of wallets - one for each investment currency you intend to use on the platform. You can deposit funds into any of these wallets and use them to create investment strategies.

To create an investment strategy your wallet's available balance must be equal to or greater than the limit set for the strategy, for example to set a $100,000 investment limit your selected wallet's balance needs to be =>$100,000.

Understanding wallet terminology

(1) Available – This is the available (uncommitted) wallet limit.

(2) Currently Invested – This is the total amount that has been committed to investment strategies.

(3) Initial Margin – This is only applicable when using our segregated bank accounts and refers to funds held as a deposit against your forward contracts.

(4) Yield to Payout – This is the sum of the returns that are due for payout

(5) Total - This is the sum of the above, i.e., Available + Currently Invested + Initial Margin + Yield to Payout

Depositing virtual funds into your preferred wallet

Follow the steps below to deposit funds into your wallet:

  1. Click the wallet icon to view available wallets

  2. Select the wallet you want to deposit funds into

  3. Open the selected wallet's menu.

Once you’ve selected a wallet, you can open the selected wallet's menu by clicking on the wallet balance as shown below.

  4. Select Deposit funds

  5. Enter deposit amount

Enter the amount (of virtual/simulated funds) to deposit in your wallet. Once you click deposit, the system will instantly increase the wallet balance by the set amount. This deposit will remain a simulation until you integrate a bank account. If you enter an erroneous amount, you can offset it by making a withdrawal.

Withdrawing funds from your wallet

Follow the steps below to withdraw funds from your wallet:

  1. View available wallets

  2. Select a wallet

  3. Open the wallet menu

Once you’ve selected wallet, you can open the wallet menu by clicking on the wallet balance as shown below.

  4. Select Withdraw funds (to decrease virtual funds in wallet)

  5. Enter withdrawal amount.

Enter an amount to withdraw as shown below. Then select a bank account to withdraw funds to. This will only be a simulated withdrawal (i.e. no physical cash movement) until you integrate a bank account.

Choose the dummy bank account we’ve pre-set for you. The amount you choose to withdraw will be deducted from the wallet balance, therefore, decreasing the wallet limit. If you enter an erroneous amount, you can offset it by making a deposit.
